About Dr. Papka
Dr. Papka specializes in the assessment of age-related dementias and adult cognitive disorders. She currently co-directs and serves as the Neuropsychologist of the Memory and Cognitive Disorders Program at the Atlantic Neuroscience Institute at Overlook Hospital. Previously, she was the Co-Director of the Memory and Cognitive Disorders Program at St. Barnabas Medical Center and the Neuropsychologist of the University of Rochester Medical Center Alzheimer’s Disease Center.
Dr. Papka is a clinician and researcher with numerous publications, grant awards, and presentations of her work. She is an adjunct Assistant Research Professor in the Neuroscience Department of Rutgers University and previous Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She leads workshops in her field designed for both professionals and the general public.
Dr. Papka also practices as a psychotherapist. She assists individuals, couples, and groups across the age-range by integrating her education, training, and skills in the areas of cognitive and behavioral psychology, psychoanalysis, and neuroscience. She works with patients on a long- or short-term basis to develop coping skills, relationships, resolutions, and a better understanding of themselves.
